From September 9th to 10th, art enthusiasts, history buffs, and curious minds will have the opportunity to explore Freemasons' Hall. Prepare to be amazed by fascinating exhibits, special interest Lodges, exclusive tours, and more.
A highlight of the event is a captivating showcase of rare photographs spanning the Second Boer War through to the end of the Second World War. These poignant images provide a glimpse into the lives of those who served on land, sea, and in the air, honouring their sacrifice and bravery for their respective nations.
Engage with members of special interest Lodges dedicated to Science Fiction and Fantasy, historical masonic plays in authentic costume, Whisky Lodge, Military Lodge, and Formula One Lodge. Experience the rich diversity and traditions that Freemasonry encompasses.
No visit is complete without experiencing the magnificent Grand Temple. Witness its grandeur and enjoy an engaging short film on Freemasonry. Gain insights into modern-day Freemasonry and discover how this historical building continues to serve its original purpose.
The festival also celebrates Women Freemasons with members of Freemasonry for Women present and ready to engage in discussions about the significance of female Freemasonry.
Families are in for a treat with a captivating children's trail. Children will marvel at the breath-taking architecture and beautiful scenes depicted in the stunning stained-glass windows. They can also unleash their creativity by crafting Bright Bricks figures inspired by the Hall's architecture.
For the fortunate few, don't miss the exclusive Behind the Scenes tours to parts of Freemasons' Hall rarely seen by the public. Explore the second and third floors, including the awe-inspiring Lodge Room No. 10, where some of London's largest Lodges have held meetings. Limited to just 20 people per session, places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note tours will only be taking place on Sunday.
The festival includes the unveiling of the Rich Heritage at the Museum of Freemasonry. Delight in one of the world's largest collections of artefacts related to Freemasonry, featuring historical treasures like Winston Churchill's apron and the Grand Throne crafted for King George IV.
