Celebrating its Centenary this year, the Grand Lodge of Finland has closed ties with the Grand Lodge of New York, who helped re-establish Finnish freemasonry in the 1920s. Finland’s most celebrated composer, Jean Sibelius, was an early initiate and composed music and songs to accompany the rituals. The Grand Lodge of New York published the first English edition in 1950. This copy in the Museum collection is signed by the great man.
