The Gabriel Newton Cricket Lodge No.9071 was created to give any enthusiasts of the noble game of cricket, weather a player, a spectator, or an armchair supporter, somewhere to meet up and enjoy the company of likeminded individuals. Our Lodge has adapted its principles to include tributes to cricket, such as unique gavels, bowling balls, and cricket stumps to name but a few. 

We also arrange outings to local and national cricketing venues and enjoy meeting up with other likeminded special interest Lodges from around the country.

Gambrinus Lodge

Biography:

Several likeminded Freemasons from around the Province came together in May 2023 to set about forming the Lodge. The proposed Lodge name of Gambrinus became a firm favourite as a legendary European cultural hero celebrated as an icon of beer & brewing. Interest proved to be very popular and by November 2023 a petition for warranting the Lodge with 43 founding signatories was sponsored by Lumley Lodge No. 5807 and submitted for consideration.

Gambrinus Lodge No. 10054 was granted the petition of warrant by The Most Worshipful Grand Master on the 8th day of March 2024.

Biography:

The object of Grand Junction Lodge No. 9775 is to sustain and to extend fellowship, through the medium of Freemasonry, of those who hold dear an association with local canals, or inland waterways, for either commercial or recreational interests. Based at The Boat Inn in Stoke Bruerne and boasting the best festive board of the province, Grand Junction Lodge meets four times a year. Hertfordshire Lodge of The Legion

Biography:

The Lodge ensures that as many war memorials as possible throughout Hertfordshire have a Poppy Wreath laid on Remembrance Sunday each year.

The Lodge also organises a Service of Remembrance at The Liberator Memorial that is dedicated to ten USAF airmen who were all killed during WWII from a tremendous act of gallantry that saved many lives. The service attracts over 100 attendees - with an Honor Guard of Colors & Firing Party from USAF Mildenhall and various dignitaries, including:

  • The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire
  • The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Broxbourne

Herts Scots Lodge

Biography:

The Herts Scots practice a unique Masonic ritual based on Scottish Workings. Founded by a Robert Burns Appreciation Group of Scottish extraction, today some of its brethren hail from as far away as South America and the far east. Apart from very different rendering of tracing boards and working tools, the Lodge is renowned for its dramatic enactment of the Third-Degree traditional history and its warm Scottish festive board. Many Lodges visit to witness its ritual bringing candidates to be raised to the Third Degree by request.  The Lodge also travels to demonstrate its ritual to other Lodges and Provinces.

Biography:

We are an active, fun and friendly Lodge with a Craft Beer and Real Ale appreciation theme. Members are from all walks of life including small business owners, teachers and IT consultants, to name a few, as well as those who have retired. We have members who are keen home brewers and one who’s Grandfather was a licensee in High Wycombe.  At least seven of our past members have also been licensees in the area, and in fact the inception of Hughenden Lodge happened at The White Hart in High Wycombe in 1946.

We are a special interest lodge that has been standing for 30 years. All our members are associated with or have volunteered in the Scout Association. The Lodge is a member of the Kindred Lodges Association https://kla.org.uk. A national association of masonic lodges that support youth work, primarily scouting. This means we are able to, and do, visit special interest lodges up and down the country with similar values. We actively support local scouting and have raised funds to support local scouts attending the world and European jamboree. We have purchased specialist equipment for local scout groups and contributed funding for scout gang shows and other scout-based activities.

The Industry Lodge is located near the local Steelworks and will be celebrating its Centenary in December 2024. The Lodge has a diverse mix of members from different age groups and backgrounds. It enjoys reciprocal visits with Lodges in Scotland and Yorkshire. Additionally, it is home to the local Lodge of Instruction, which draws members from all four Scunthorpe Lodges and nearby out-of-town Lodges. The Kindred Lodges Association is a network of 43 Craft, Chapter, and Mark Lodges plus individual freemasons who are or have been involved in youth work, particularly Scouting.  Membership is either through a subscribing member Lodge or as individual Associate Members. We encourage inter-Lodge visiting of brethren, and prime activities are holding two national meetings yearly. The dress for these meetings is the uniform of the youth organisation for those entitled, a practice also followed by many of the member Lodges at one of their meetings during their Masonic year.

Consecrated on 21st January 1976 to provide the opportunity for the close association between the Scout Movement and Freemasonry to be fostered in Hertfordshire. Kudu Lodge is a member of the Kindred Lodges Association (36 Lodges Worldwide) which exists to foster Lodges which cater for those who work for or with youth.  Originally exclusively for Scout or Former Scout Leaders.  With 50% of leaders now being women the membership requirements have been relaxed to those supportive of the aims and objectives of the Scout Association and who would be prepared to take the Scout Promise.

Biography:

We are a Services Lodge dedicated to honouring the members of the Royal Navy, Air Force and the Army at our Festive board which tends to be a lively affair. The Lodge is founded on Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, we believe in maintaining values, traditions and fellowship.

The Lodge was consecrated on 23rd February 1881 by Sir Edmund who was the M.P. for West Worcestershire and was also the Secretary General of the order of St. John. Sir Edmund and the then 7th Duke of Manchester who was the Lord Prior of England were prime movers in founding The National Society for Aid to the Sick and Wounded in War later to become the Red Cross.
