Musket, Pike & Drum Lodge Logo
Biography:

MPD cherishes, and indeed celebrates the notion of history; as a result, has profound association with the hobby of Historical Re-enactment. This is hobby sees men and women dressing in the attire of a chosen period of history, and often for a weekend, ‘live in accordance with that period’. Quite often this involves camping in canvas tents, cooking on open log fires and staging battles ‘between two accurately uniformed waring factions – imagine the sights, colours, smell and sounds of cannon and musket fire!

Nomads Rugby Lodge Logo
Biography:

The Lodge is truly nomadic, making it fundamentally different from other Lodges. It is a Derby Lodge, but only the Installation meeting is held there. By dispensation, the remaining meetings are held at masonic halls across the Provinces of Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, and even further afield.

Our meetings, typically held on Saturday mornings, are not just about our internal affairs. After a hearty lunch, we embark on a unique community engagement. We visit a nearby rugby club, not just as spectators, but as active supporters of the club's development. Our aim is to aid our hosts in the development of their minis and junior sides, with a special focus on promoting mixed ability rugby. This is a testament to our commitment to community building and inclusivity.

REYNARD Lodge Logo
Biography:

It was at Stoneygate Rugby Club that the idea of forming the Reynard Lodge was first discussed in September 1985. It was to be some 2 years & 3 months later on 13th January 1988 that a letter was written to the Provincial Grand Secretary, stating that some 32 like-minded Freemasons wished to form a new Lodge with the common interest of Sport. A meeting between Peter Kinder and the Provincial Grand Secretary followed and then a subsequent Petitioners meeting was held on 22nd February 1988 where it was agreed that the request to form a new Lodge be sent to the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) in London. It was agreed and subsequently approved by UGLE that the new Lodge could be formed. Further meetings of the Petitioners were quickly arranged and the list of Founders was confirmed totalling 32.
