Terpsichore Lodge

Lodge number: 9874

Close
Terpsichore Lodge Logo
Biography:

The Lodge was formed in 2012 by a number of senior Freemasons, mainly from the Stamford Lodges but some further afield.  It was formed as a day light lodge, meeting in the Stamford Masonic Centre at 11am of the 4th Tuesday of Sept (I), Nov, Jan and March.

After the short meeting, the members and guests have lunch along with their ladies / friends, in a white table Festive Board

Terpsichore, being the Greek Muse of music and dance, gives us a focus on these activities

Usually, between the meeting and lunch, we partake of some entertainment.  This ranges from a variety of speakers, to dance (we have had instruction in Line Dancing, Ballroom and Morris Dancing) and even a Magician.

Being a daylight Lodge, we tend to attract members from others Lodges, who for whatever reason, do not wish to be out and eating later in the evening.

We hold a Ladies Sunday lunch in the Spring, which is well supported and a very pleasant event.

We are proud of being a happy Lodge and although small, are also proud of our charitable donations.

The Lodge of Asaph Logo
Biography:

The Lodge of Asaph was founded in 1870 as a platform for all of those who worked in the Theatres of Drury Lane mainly musicians and riggers. In the past 50 years the advance of technology has all but extinguished the Lodge’s previous recruiting ground. In order to return to our roots, we have moved from GQS to MMH and we now research and perform historical masonic plays of about 30-minute duration, in costume and with lights and are always on the lookout for fresh cast members with or without experience.

Biography:

Permanent Way Lodge No. 9951 was established in 2018 to serve the interests of professional railway workers, volunteers on heritage railways, and individuals with a passion for railways, railway model engineering, or modeling. While it is based in Evesham as a daughter Lodge of Elmely Castle Lodge No. 6247, the Lodge is mobile and has convened at various locations, including a railway goods shed in Leicestershire, the STEAM museum in Swindon, and Masonic halls in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and Leek in Staffordshire. Meetings are organized to coincide with railway-related visits or presentations and typically draw a large number of visitors. Most meetings also include partners and non-Masonic friends who are invited to a white-table gathering after the meeting. The Lodge also serves as an initiating Lodge and has welcomed new members as well as joining members. For ceremonies, the Lodge has previously obtained a special permission for an additional 'emergency' meeting for that purpose.

THE RED SCARF LODGE Logo
Biography:

The Founding Members of the Lodge were all associated with Scouting’s famous London Gang Show which was regularly televised in the 1960s. Our Founders include Ralph Reader CBE, the ‘father’ of the Gang Show tradition; this tradition is still strong amongst the world-wide Scouting fraternity. Several current senior members of the Lodge were members of the London Gang Show and whilst our membership includes current and ex members associated with the Scouting world, this is certainly not a pre-requisite to join us. The Lodge maintains a strong tradition of friendliness, comradeship, good humour, charity, loyalty and support.

Union of Rugby Lodge

Lodge number: 9989

Union of Rugby Lodge Logo
Biography:

As more brethren came together socially through the Light Blues, a common love was discovered – Rugby!

This led to the loose formation of the Light Blues Rugby Football Club, with the “tight six” spearheading the drive to have a Lodge to call home!

With support from the PGM and his team, the Union of Rugby Lodge No.9989 was consecrated, after several delays, in April 2022 with 50 Founding Members.

Now in our third year, the Lodge continues to drive a winning tactical game, with every meeting showing the support for Freemasonry in general, and Rugby in particular!
